Days +9–+15: He-Man and She-Ra, Still Fighting
Guest post by Sarah
If you’ve been wondering why my brother hasn’t been posting as much lately, it’s because he’s been busy doing what he does best—fighting.
His stem cell transplant journey has not been an easy one. He has had complications along the way, and there have been plenty of moments when our family has had to dig deep, stay strong, and work through whatever comes next. Watching him battle through all of this has been difficult and admirable.
He reminds me so much of He-Man—strong, determined, stubborn in the very best way, and refusing to give up even when the battle gets incredibly hard. And if he’s He-Man, then I will forever be his She-Ra, standing beside him with my sword raised, ready to fight alongside my brother for as long as it takes.
He is working so incredibly hard right now to get stronger, regain his energy, and eventually get back to doing the things he loves—including having enough energy to post his own updates again. I know he wants to be back here sharing his journey, and I know he will get there.
Our entire family has been fighting with him. There are so many of us who have been there, showing up, taking turns, encouraging him, advocating for him, laughing with him, worrying with him, and reminding him that he is never fighting alone. Even the hospital staff have commented on how many of us are always there for him. That means everything.
There have been hard days. There have been exhausting days. There have been days when hope has felt like something we had to hold onto with both hands.
But we are still here.
Still fighting.
Still believing.
Still showing up.
Still hoping for brighter days ahead.
Josh amazes me every single day. His strength, his determination, and his willingness to keep pushing forward are things I will never take for granted and forever be grateful for.
So keep fighting, He-Man.
Your She-Ra is right here. Always.
And together, with our whole family behind you, we’re going to keep fighting for that next, brighter chapter.
The power of Grayskull may belong to He-Man, but the power of family love and commitment is something even stronger.
We have our swords raised and are fighting with you.
